• They both belong to Velvet Harmony, a ladies barbershop chorus (Neil is the director).

• They both attend St John the Evangelist, the parish church here in North Holmwood. Neil is the choir master of the 'nominal' choir and Kay supplies her voice to that endeavour. Neil is also the webmaster for the church website at.

• Neil belongs to BABS (British Association of Barbershop Singers), and is the PRO for the Guild of British Barbershop Judges. He also manages their web site at
